Colon Kiwanis Student of the 1st Marking Period

Colon Kiwanis Club is pleased to announce the Student of the 1st Marking Period Luke Sharp.  Luke is a senior at C0lon High School and the son of Mark and Carol Sharp.  He has a 3.556 GPA and is ranked 13 in his class of 52 Seniors.  Luke has been on the Honor Roll for the last four year and has had High Honors the last three years.  He is also a very active member of the National Honor Society.  Athletically Luke has participated in football the four past seasons, has participated on the wrestling team for four years,  has played baseball for three years and will try out again this year.  Luke has also been active in FFA ,two years,  and in the environmental club.  When it comes to volunteerism or community service activities Luke had been active in leaf clean up, potato harvesting, can food drives, junior High school orientation, and the athletic boosters concession stand.  After graduating from Colon High Schools, Luke plans to attend either Michigan State University or Lake Superior State University and major in Fish and wildlife Management.
