Its Playoff Time!

We’re hoping for a great turnout to support the Magi Friday, Oct 30 in a MHSAA Division 8 playoff game.

The Colon Magi will be hosting St. Joseph Michigan Lutheran this Friday at 7:30 .  The Magi are 8-1 on the season while the Titans come into the game 5-3.  The Titans come into the game being about as predictable as a bouncing football.  They have given up more points than they have scored (182/247), however their excellent wide receiver Nate Rosenbaum has caught over 500 yards worth of passes and scored 5 td’s while their running back Cory Briney has gained nearly 500 yards on the ground and scored 6 td’s.

The Magi have never faced the Titans but hope to continue their excellent regular season into the playoffs.  In 2004 you may remember the Magi came into their first playoff game 7-1 but lost to Schoolcraft in the first round so I don’t they will be taking anyone lightly.  They are led by their quarterback  Brendon Shallack who has led the Magi to their highest avg point total in their history (almost 38 points a game).  He has rushed for over 1200 yards and passed for over 600.  The Magi defense is well balanced and stingy, allowing on average less than 10 points per game.

The winner of this game plays the winner of the Eau Claire/Pittsford game
