Prudential Real Estate in Colon is joining the Chamber of Commerce. Welcome new member!!

Colon Vintage Treasures and Jewelry is a new business in town. They are having their “Grand Opening” in conjuction with “Christmas in Colon” on Dec. 2. Welcome to Colon! Hopefully we can get them to join the Chamber too.

There was a discussion about the report we recieved from the website www.michiganbackroads.com. Most members are disappointed in the results of the website. Some say it is difficult to use and find Colon on it. Edi will contact Ron Rademacher to see what can be done.

Christmas in Colon was discussed. It seems we are behind this year. A letter was sent to the businesses that participated last year to see what each is doing. Kathy Coats will send a notice to the local papers and try to contact our local government officials to see if they would be in the parade. Perhaps the Mendon football team…or an other schools band. The parade starts at 6:00 from the Elementary School to the Library. A picture of Penny & Terry was to be taken, since they have worked so hard on the project for the last few years to put with a press release. Next year we should start earlier…

Meeting adjourned at 1:20.

Respectfully submitted by Linda Musall, Secretary.
